Here is a guide explaning how to change a bike tyre's inner tube. It might seem complicated at first but even non-manual people can manage it with a bit of will power and training.

Here is a list of items you need before you start: a bicycle spanner (or adjustable wrench), 2 tyre levers (best if made of plastic), a new inner tube, a bit of chain-oil and a pump.
If it's the rear wheel that is punctured put the bike chain on the biggest chainring at the front and on the smallest cog at the back (the hardest combination of gears when you're pedaling). This will help you put the wheel back at the end.
Remove the wheel by undoing the quick release clamp or if your bike doesn't have any use the spanner to remove the bolts. Once that is done push the wheel up or down to release it.
Insert one of the tyre levers between the tyre and the rim on the opposite side to the valve, then insert the second tyre lever next to the first and make it slide along the tyre so that it separates the tyre from the rim.
Once that is done remove the punctured inner tube and throw it away. Of course you can try to repair it (mending kits can be found in bicycle shops). However considering that the price of new inner tubes are so reasonable nowadays, it doesn't really seem worth it to waste time.
Before inserting the new inner tube make sure that the central part of the rim and the inside of the tyre are clean. Lubricate the lower part of the new valve (where it will come into contact with the rim) with a drop of oil.
Insert one of the sides of the tyre into the rim's central cavity.
Slip the new inner tube into the tyre and insert the valve into the hole in the rim. Slightly inflate the inner tube.
Completely insert the tyre into the rim's central cavity, starting from the valve. If it's difficult to do with your fingers use a tyre lever but make sure not to pinch the new inner tube between the tyre and the rim.
Put the wheel back. Make sure it is correctly centered.
Once the wheel is correctly put back blow up the tyre. That's it your bike is ready to be ridden again.
